Residents and local governments in Douglas County continue to clean up after last month’s flooding.
The water has long receded but the cleanup and repairs from the storm that dumped nearly 10 inches of rain is far from finished. Douglas County Emergency Management Director Keith Kessler says debris from the flood is piling up. “The homeowners in the city of Superior are still cleaning out their basements, there’s still debris that’s being put out on the curbs,” he says.
