Democrat Tom Barrett chatted with neighbors of Republican Scott Walker today (5/11), as part of the recall election contest between the two candidates.
One of Barrett's campaign themes is that Walker's policies have pitted neighbor against neighbor. So the Milwaukee mayor chatted with supporters in the front yard of a Barrett backer whose home is behind governor Walker's house in Wauwatosa. Barrett told the group that walker has divided the state, and cost Wisconsin jobs.
Barrett also scheduled neighborhood chats in Green Bay and near Wausau. Walker's campaign didn't reply to the divisiveness issue, but claims Mayor Barrett's tour is a desperate attempt to distract from his failed record.
